Before the era of many superhero movies popping here and there on Hollywood, there was Superman. Milkwhale create this infographic as a tribute to honor Superman movies that started 35 years ago, starring the late Christopher Reeve, who was always known as Superman.
The first and second Superman movies were exploding on box offices, netting $134 million and $108 million (which is a lot of money 35 years ago). However the third and fourth Superman movies that is released 1983 and 1987, were failures. It even drag down a plan for the first Spiderman movie because of the epic failure (which remains in limbo for 25 years until it’s released in 2002).
Modern era Superman Returns (2006) is much better, but is not very outstanding due to the fact that there are other better films, like X-Men: Last Stands and 300.
I personally hope that the Man of Steel will be back in all of its glory in the upcoming days.
