Interestingly, the University of Utah is considered the country’s best undergraduate video game school. That surprised me quite a bit. It’s not that Utah isn’t a great school, just that the state of Utah itself isn’t that well known for video games. MIT also makes the top ten, but no surprise there. Michigan State University, and the University of Southern California are a couple of other top universities. Check out the rest of the list for more info!

As far as earning potential goes, the Western region offers the highest salaries. Programmers take home the most pay, making over 100K out West, and pulling high salaries across the country. The pay for the rest of the jobs varies according to the region. For example, producers make over 90K out West, but only about 63K in the Midwest. That’s a huge difference!
And right now Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Bethesda Game Studios are considered the top three video game studios (respectively)!
