Making Cash Money Off of Travel Blogs [Infographic]

By

I’m a bit of a travel bug, but I’ve never tried to start up a travel blog. Perhaps I am missing out because many people are starting such a blog! Thanks to BookFHR.com for this enlightening infographic.

50 percent of travel blogs have been started within the last two years, while another 28 percent are only three to four years old. Further, most blogs only have a page rank of three or four. That suggests that the market is not firmly established, and there could still be a chance to make it big. So if you love to travel you might want to consider blogging about your experience!

Thinking about starting a few travel blogs? 41 percent of bloggers run only one blog. About 13 percent of people run two blogs, and about 12 percent run three. Only a small number of people run more blogs.

So can a travel blog be a money making machine? Possibly, but the market is competitive and people are working to upgrade their skills and sites. And make sure you will be willing to promote your blogs through social media.

Also consider the fact that some 74 percent of bloggers report studying up on SEO tactics and 24 percent of people make enough money through advertising to live solely off of their travel blogs! Mind blowing. And being a travel blogger probably isn’t a bad career, especially in this economy.

If you are looking to start a blog, be prepared to write a lot! About 16 percent of people write between five to ten posts per month, and about 21 percent write between 10 to 15. About three percent of bloggers write over thirty posts per month! That’s got to result in some sore fingers!
