I wont lie, im a bit of a grammar freak and cant stand when people make simple mistakes. Id get angry if I were a teacher these days and dont understand why people cant use simple things like apostrophes.

As you can tell, the above sentence is filled with a lot of grammar errors! In fact, according to this infographic by Brandwatch, these are five of the most common grammar mistakes made on the internet!

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the occasional typo or misspelled word, but with the rise of the internet, language skills seem to be in decline!

Twitter is the worst in terms of grammar mistakes, probably because the messages must be so short. Still, people make a lot of mistakes on other sites, like Google + and Facebook.

Still, things are slowly improving.

And people love to use acronyms, such as LOL, WTF, OMG, YOLO, and LMAO. Admittedly, these acronyms can be quite useful when sending text messages and other things were brevity is the key.
