A Working World Comparison! [Infographic]

Jobs. For me it’s a love-hate relationship. I like my work, but sometimes I’d rather be lying out on the beach, catching some sun. But of course, I still want to collect my paycheck! This is an amazing infographic because it offers a lot of great facts about the workplace and economics in general, spread across numerous topics, including taxes and inflation.

This is one of those infographics that it really pays off to read closely, so I encourage you to take a good long look! This infographic by Social Cast is intensely interesting and super insightful.

Still not convinced? Let me continue further. While China and the USA are protecting their people with low inflation rates, people in India and Russia are suffering from inflation rates weighing in at nearly ten percent per year, meaning your money will be worth a lot more today than next year! Japan actually has a -.2 inflation rate, so you might be better off waiting to make your next purchase.

On the other hand Russia keeps its tax code simple with a 13 percent flat rate. In the USA taxes range from 0 to 35 percent, while in Japan and the United Kingdom taxes can climb as high as 50 percent. I am all about contributing to society, but I won’t beat around the bush, giving up half of my income to taxes sounds awful!

I was shocked to learn that people in France and the United Kingdom enjoy a month’s worth of mandatory vacation days, while in the USA people get a big, fat ZERO. People in France also get to retire at the young age of 59, talk about long golden years! In France the average person also only works 30 hours, compared to 35 in the USA! The French might be the butt of a lot of jokes given their military record and obsession with eating snails, but my guess is that they’re laughing at the rest of the us while lying out on the beach!

There are many more facts worth mentioning, but I’ll let you look through the infographic!
