And given that 90 percent of companies use content marketing, and that marketers spend 25 percent of their budget on content marketing, it’s clear to see that professionals see the value in it.
Digging deeper into the stats, and it’s easy to see just how important content marketing is. For example, 80 percent of marketers believe that customer content should be the central focus on marketing efforts. 37 percent believe that content led websites are the best ways to engage customers.
And given that 68 percent of people “spend time reading about brands that interest them” marketers seem to be on the right track. In fact, 20 percent of the time people spend online is spent on reading content! And given how so many people are glued to their computer, that adds up to a lot of time!
Content marketing is essential because it costs 62 percent less than other marketing efforts, and yet generates 3 times as many leads per dollar spent! That’s a lot of bang for the buck!
With 86 percent of people skipping TV ads and 44 percent of people ignoring direct mail, content marketing offers a great way to reach out to people. And given that 80 percent of American customers appreciate learning about a company through content marketing, your efforts will be well received!
