Developing mobile websites and applications is important for engaging customers on their
phones. Simply put, mobile devices are smaller and tend to rely on touch control. So if you don’t have such an app, you should really consider developing one!
You need to create a site each for desktop users, tablet users, and smartphone users. Further, creating a responsive design that adjusts its layout and features based on how users are viewing the site will help take your mobile strategy to the next level.
Breaking into the mobile market can be tough. For example, Google and Apple’s app stores each have about 700,000 apps, but 66.7 percent of these apps have never been downloaded! You can increase your own success by garnering good reviews and encouraging people to promote your app through their own social media networks!
Further, spending on mobile apps has now topped 2 billion dollars and has quadrupled since 2009. Spending is expected to reach nearly 3.5 billion dollars by 2014. It’s clear to see that mobile marketing is here to stay and will represent an increasing portion of marketing budgets.
