It’s summer time, and the livings easy! With the weather warming up, millions of Americans will be looking to travel, and on average they will spend some $1,134 dollars on their hotel rooms. That will add up to 84 billion dollars this summer, so that’s some serious cash!
The biggest factor when choosing a hotel room is price, though location also has a lot of influence. Amenities are also important and also many people’s favorite part about staying in a hotel. Brand, on the other hand, has little impact on most people! Don’t waste your time trying to tell that to Paris “Hilton,” however, I’m sure your message will fall on deaf ears.
Room location is also important as many people prefer to have rooms that are not by the elevator or near an ice machine. After all, who wants to be woken up in the middle of the night while another guest is grabbing ice for their drinks? (Unless they plan to share the drinks with you, of course).
Most people (77%) plan their own vacations. In fact, only 49% would leave their planning to their spouses! And only 11% percent would turn to their friends for planning, while 15% would rather have “no one else do the planning.”
Even with a tough economy, many people will be looking to travel this summer. So check out this great infographic by Room Key and learn more about how you can plan a great vacation!
