I grew up just outside of “Motown” (Detroit, Michigan) and I won’t lie, I am impartial to American cars. And Ford is first among equals, as far as I am concerned. With their most recent line up of cars, I really think Ford stands a good chance of surpassing GM and even Toyota in the years to come.

Anyways, this revving infographic contains a lot of information on the iconic Ford company, so check it out!

Did you know that Ford’s first experimental car, the quadracycle, could obtain a top speed of only 20 miles per hour and had a mere 4 horse power!?

Ford would later build the Piquittee Plant where the so-called “car of the century”, the Model T, was built. This car changed the world of transportation by making automobiles affordable for middle class families. Of course, Ford had to cut some corners, as he famously pointed out:

“You can have the Model T in any color you want, as long as it’s black.”

And during World War II Ford would become a major contributor to the war effort. Ford plants turned out planes, tanks, and other pieces of heavy equipment.

While Ford is an American brand, it is also hugely popular in the United Kingdom where 15% of all new cars sold wear a Ford badge. No only that, but for 40 consecutive years a Ford car has topped the best-seller’s list.
