Battery and energy saving technology has improved tremendously over the last fifteen years, and yet the average charge time of a phone now is only about half as long as in 2005. Why?

While some of us might not be too worried about losing our charge, others are quite worried. And with nearly 40 percent of smartphone users worried about running out of batter power at least once a week, it’s a pretty big concern. And not having a phone can really hamper your lifestyle and ability to get access to important data.
Travelers are the most taxing on their batteries, often running down their smartphones and 8 hours or less. Students come in a close second, being able to eat through a a battery in 10 hours or so. Business users, however, are quite a bit more conservative, able to squeeze out 14 hours or more.
