I’m not going to lie, when I first saw this infographic I wondered, “what is Wacky Races?”
Without further ado the answer:
Wacky Races is an animated Television Series that ran on CBS from September 14th, 1968 to January 4th, 1969. In each episode cars race to win the title of the “World’s wackiest racer”.
Created by the famous Hanna-Barbera, this TV show must have attracted a cult following to get itself its own kick ass (and wacky) infographic. And the author of this infographic decided to settled the debate once and for all on who is the wackiest racer of all time.
Drum roll please! And the wackiest is: The Boulder Mobile! The author chose to go with a pair of club swinging cave men. I don’t know though, if I were to throw in my two cents I think I would have gone with the Creepy Coupe piloted by the “Gruesome Twosome.” I have to admit though, that the Compact Pussycat would give them a run for their money.
While the race for wackiest racer was pretty tight, both the Army Surplus Special and the Mean Machine got little love. Could it be the relatively generic names?
