Technology is a huge part of our lives. In fact, in many ways our ability to create and use technology is what makes humans so unique. Now technology is reaching even new heights, and becoming increasingly ingrained in our lives and even bodies.

Consider the fact that scientists are working on a microchip that can detect heart attacks over three hours before they occur! And this implant is only the size of an ant! There are even biometric “stickers” that you can stick on your skin to measure vital signs. You can also wear wrist bands that measure how far you’ve traveled and how fast you moved while working out.

And health care even has its own social media network with “Health Keep”, which seeks to safely and securely connect patients and health care providers. Given that 80 percent of people look for health care information online, there is a huge potential for such a network. Beyond social networks, MeMD is working on ways so that you can conduct entire doctor’s visits online!
