I spent some time teaching English, and let me tell you, my first day was one of the worst days I’ve ever had. I choked up, forget my lesson plans, blushed, stuttered, and tripped my way through the material. Perhaps if I had some of the great books on this list, my experience would have gone more smoothly.

Luckily, BestEducationDegrees.com has put together a list of the 50 best books for teachers! That’s a whole lot of reading, you’ll probably have to pick and choose the books that look to be the best.
Coming in at number one is the First-Year Teachers Survival Guide. Number two goes with “Teaching With Fire.” I must like the title, because I think that’d be my choice if I only got one. Another interesting sounding one is the fourth book, “Growing Minds.” Sounds quite progressive!
