And if they are hot this year, they will most likely be hot in the next five years. In fact, in America since 2010 demand for these jobs has been growing and is projected to grow in the future.

Software Developer comes in at number one. Consider this, there is only 1 active candidate for every 10 jobs that is posted. Job growth since 2010 comes in at 7 percent and with a median salary of 92,500 dollars, you won’t be struggling to pay the bills with this job.

Market Research Analysts are also in high demand. In fact, job growth since 2010 weighs in at 10 percent and there is only one candidate for every five postings. The salary isn’t quite as high as software developers at 60,500 dollars, but that’s still good pay!

Another really interesting job would be a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager. Job growth comes in at 8 percent and with a median salary of just over 72,000 dollars they are certainly enjoying good wages.

If you’re a more science and math oriented person, you should closely consider being a Mechanical Engineer. With only 19 candidates for every 100 postings and job growth measuring 6 percent since 2010, you probably won’t have much trouble finding a job in this field, so long as you have the right degree.
